The Pipits: Currie Tract, summer 2026
Well! It has been quite some time since I wrote a trip report! Life. What a ride. So grateful for the ongoing support, and persisting acceptance from everyone despite all my blunders. Your companionship, and the belonging I feel within our group, are invaluable to me. A group of 10 Pipits walked the trails at Currie Tract yesterday morning. Part of the Halton Regional Forest, this set of trails follows a road into the forest, moves along a hydro cut, and then becomes a maze of rougher cycling...

The Pipits: Crawford Lake, Nov. 2 2025
Hello my friends! It's been a while since I wrote a trip summary. This trip was just such a beautiful walk on a lovely fall day! A group of 12 Pipits visited Crawford Lake. The boardwalk was closed for repairs, so we took a trail that meandered along through the forest and beside the escarpment for a ways, before turning back into the forest. It was a little rough, and we had to hold hands and help each other through those parts of the trail, but thankfully the trail widened out and the slope...
