Point Pelee PP

Point Pelee during Spring Migration is an experience not to be missed! Birds fly long distances, over the huge body of lake water, and arrive exhausted at Point Pelee to rest and feed before continuing their journey to their northern breeding grounds. It can be absolutely overwhelming. Come see!

About the event

Hello Pipits!

This SUNDAY we will be going to Point Pelee, to wander our way around this beautiful park and be stunned by the inundation of spring migrants!

We will meet at the parking lot at the Visitor Centre at 5:30 am.

I suggest you plan to arrive at the Park Gate for 5 am to give yourself time to line up and drive up to the Visitor Centre...at this time of year, the line of cars going into the park can be long, and it can be challenging to get a parking spot in the Visitor Centre lot if you arrive after 5:30am.

There is a fee to enter the Park, for more information go here: https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/on/pelee/visit/tarifs-fees

Point Pelee is an important rest stop for spring migrants moving across the lake on their northern trajectory. Our trip takes place during the Festival of Birds.
