Hello Pipits!

This SUNDAY we will visit Kelso Summit Trail.

We will be participating in the Alan Wormington Fall Bird Count!

Every year for the past 50 years birders from all over the Hamilton Bird Study Area go out  on the first Sunday of November to collect data of birds seen & heard. I will submit our eBird list and the particulars including participants names (I seem to remember doing this, don't quote me though), number of hours spent birding, etc. to the Count Coordinator, and we will be helping through Citizen Science!

The trail walks along the upper edge of an old quarry, then travels through open fields and into forest. It is a fairly flat trail and I don't expect us to travel down the escarpment on this walk.

The Pipits

The goal of The Pipits is to increase awareness of the natural world, in particular, birds, but also all other wild organisms; in a safe and inclusive social setting where we connect with each other through our mutual appreciation of the wild.
