Currie Tract, Halton Region Forest

This location is notable for a variety of habitats, including mature forest, scrubby open areas along the power line cut, and some wet areas where I've seen Northern Waterthrush. We could see Golden Winged, Blue Winged, Chestnut Sided Warblers among other warblers and songbirds.

Currie Tract, Halton Regional Forest.

The driveway to the parking lot is tricky to find. When you're near the Casino go slowly and watch for the green number sign on the east side of the road: "9475".

This SUNDAY we will be going to one of the Halton Regional Forests, the Currie Tract!

This location is notable for a variety of habitats, including mature forest, scrubby open areas along the power line cut, and some wet areas where I've seen Northern Waterthrush. Terrain is varied, some flat wide trails, some narrow rocky trails.

We could see Golden Winged, Blue Winged, Chestnut Sided Warblers, Eastern Towhee, Indigo Bunting, among other songbirds.
