Guest Leader: Janet Ozaruk

Hello Pipits!

This SUNDAY we will visit the Mill Run Trail in Cambridge (Hespeler). Our special Guest Leader for this outing is Janet Ozaruk!

We will meet at 9am in the parking lot at 200 Sheffield Street, Cambridge, at the access to the Mill Run Trail.

The Mill Run Trail is a natural stone dust trail running along the Speed River connecting Hespeler to Preston.

The trail follows the 1896 Galt, Preston, and Hespeler Electric Railway Line. It passes through the Chilligo conservation area and the former Idylwyld Park.  Chilligo Conservation Area is owned and managed by the Grand River CA and includes forests, meadows & marshlands.

If time allows, we can also check in at the Hespeler Mill Pond (Ellacott Landing) which is just upstream.

A bit about Janet: Janet Ozaruk is a Past President (and Honourary Life Member) of Waterloo Region Nature.  She has a life-long interest in all things nature-related.

Looking forward to seeing those who can join us!
