Beamer in the Early Spring

A visit to Beamer Memorial Conservation Area. Beamer is well known as the best place in Ontario to observe the spring hawk migration. It also has a fantastic forest on the brow of the Niagara Escarpment. The escarpment at Beamer is closest it comes to Lake Ontario and its face has the steepest slope in all of Niagara. We will be exploring all of these fascinating features in our tour of Beamer with Bruce Mackenzie.

Meet at 10:00am

North end of Quarry Rd. ¼ km north of Ridge Rd.

No parking fee. Wear suitable footwear and clothing for the day. No flip flops.

Many thanks to Bruce for joining us and sharing his knowledge!

Hope to see you there!

The Pipits

The goal of The Pipits is to increase awareness of the natural world, in particular, birds, but also all other wild organisms; in a safe and inclusive social setting where we connect with each other through our mutual appreciation of the wild.
